The Week of March 28th

Weekly Newsletter

Welcome back! I hope that everyone enjoyed the long weekend. I'm glad that the sun finally came out! We have a short but eventful week planned! Wednesday- All three grade levels will set out on a class trip together. We will be walking outside, so please make sure your student wears appropriate shoes. Please apply bug spray and sunscreen at home.

SRI/MAP Testing
All second and third grade students will be tested in Reading (SRI) and Math (MAP). If they do not meet the benchmark they will have another opportunity to take the test before the year is out. Meeting the benchmarks on both of these tests is a promotional requirement for both grade levels.
SRI Benchmarks-
2nd Grade-345
3rd Grade-545
Map Benchmarks
2nd Grade -184
3rd Grade- 196

GMAS TESTING
GMAS Testing will begin on April 12th. Our third grade students will be tested in all subject areas.  This test lasts several days. Please make sure that your child is well rested and fed a nutritious meal on all of the testing days. Our first and second grade students will be downstairs working in the Media Center while our third graders are being tested.

*Parents are not allowed in the school after 8am on testing days.

Compass Learning
Compass Learning is an important resource that focuses on areas of concern for each student individually.  This website uses test result data to tailor practice to individual student needs. If your child does not know their username please email me, so I can get it to you. I have added the Compass Learning link to this page. It is to the right of this post under the the Important Links tab.
