The Week of April 17th

Weekly Newsletter

Field Day
The weather was perfect for our walk down to Daffin Park last Thursday. Students had a ton of fun competing in games that were put together by Coach Lesley. Thank you to all the parents who helped out on Field Day. We couldn't have done it without you!
**Students shared helmets on Field Day** It would be a good idea to check your child's head for lice over the next couple of weeks. Just to be on the safe side!

Field Trips
We will be headed out to Oatland Island this week. 3rd grade students will go on Tuesday, and 1st and 2nd grade students will go on Wednesday. Your child should wear closed toe shoes with socks. Please apply bug spray and sun screen at home.

Some suggestions for snack are: precut fruit (apples, grapes, bananas cut in half, oranges, etc.), precut vegetables with hummus for dipping, cheese and crackers, granola bars or chewies, trail mix, applesauce, hummus and crackers, yogurt or Gogurt, graham crackers…  The purpose of snack is to provide a nutritious energy booster when the students need it.  Please keep in mind the nutritional value when choosing a snack.
